Storyboards are a wonderful way to showcase your photos - they both entertain and inform your viewers by telling a story of an event in your life. Each box is a place where you can, not only place your photos, but a place where you can journal, add non-photo images, etc. Tell your story exactly how you want to tell it! Your storyboard may be as simple or as sophisticated as you desire - but the results will all be gorgeous!!

My storyboard templates are ideal to use when you have a lot of photos that you wish to include in your layouts. Cover with the paper of your choice, embellish them, and you'll have a fabulous looking layout in no time. I wasn't sure if I was going to blog about this, but I figure that some people might be wondering where I've been. Sadly, my MIL passed away this month. It was very sudden and we were not expecting it in the least. We were, in fact, getting our house ready to have her move in. We had just converted one room into her bedroom and had installed some stuff in the bathroom for her. Although she wasn't in the best of health, we really didn't see it coming. I won't go into all the details, but I do want to thank everyone for their prayers and words of comfort.

I've put in a few new products into the store since my last post - images are linked!

Hey all! I've been so bad with blogging (yeah, so what's new right?) but I needed to share that I've joined Digitals!

It's a great community and I'm really happy to be there. I was waiting to be totally uploaded, but with as many products as I have ... it's a daunting task! Medical Updates & Freebie Quick Pages!

I want to give a HUGE thanks to Belle, Fl Connie, and Sheila for leaving me the lovely get well wishes - you guys rock and def. made me smile!

Humpty (yah, that's me) is doing much better a week later. My left hand is all better really (I think it was more bruised than sprained) and I've taken the plastic splint off of my ankle and seem to be walking okay on it as long as I don't push it. I haven't tried to put on shoes yet ... but I figure if I absolutely NEEDED to leave the house I could wear my slip on sneakers, right?!

My bad hand, the right one, seems to be holding it's own. Definitely not as painful, but glad that I'm seeing the hand surgeon anyway. However, now the nerve that runs the length of that arm is giving me issues and it's hard to actually lift anything with it. I'm guessing I'll have to see the neurologist again. Don't you guys LOVE hearing about my issues? LOL

Okay, let's talk about some fun things now! The Summer World Tour is still going on at Sophisti-Scraps. No one was eliminated week one - but that's all going to change from week 2 on! Humpty Dumpty had a great fall ....

and I'm Humpty Dumpty! Last night I fell from the top stair of my front porch and landed face down on the concrete walkway!! I had stopped to fix the strap on my shoe, and my right ankle gave out or maybe I stepped off the step (not sure about that part) and I lost my balance and tumbled down 4 steps and landed face first. Of course, there was blood everywhere and Mike was freaking out. Quickly I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to get myself up as both my hands hurt like B*TCH (especially the one I just surgery on) and couldn't use them to get myself upright. We called 911 and fire dept and ambulance arrived within 3 minutes. They got me up and then when I was standing I got super dizzy and nauseous. Mike ran and got me a folding chair and they started to evaluate me - they ended up putting me on the stretcher right away cuz the dizziness wasn't going away. Anyway, to make this long story a bit shorter ... after spending the night in the ER - I have a sprained right ankle, both hands/wrists are sprained, my nose is all cut up, my lips look like I was in a fight! I can type slowly as long as I don't move my arm much. I won't be able to drive though for a while. I'm calling the hand surgeon on Monday - I'm most worried about the hand that I just had surgery on.

Hope everyone has a much better weekend than I'm having!! LOL

New Store, Contests, Challenges, and Freebies!

As some of you may know, I recently joined a new store - Sophisti-Scraps. I hadn't planned on joining another store ... but the owner, Toni, is such a great gal I just couldn't refuse! Now this is quite different from my "normal" stores as they started as a Tagger store ... however they have branched out to include Full size. They have always included Commercial Use in both sizes. Toni's vision is to have a site where EVERYONE can come and shop, enjoy the forum, and just have a good time!! I've been really having a lot of fun with the girls there ... so why not come over and check it out yourself? Need some incentive? Check out the Summer Promotion in the works!

Le Sophisti-Scrappin' 2010 Summer World Tour

Are you ready for a six-week ride around the world? Starting in Sydney, Australia and ending in Paris, France, the Sophisti-Scraps Designers are taking you for a summer trip you won't forget! If you can survive the ride, that is!

The top survivors in their respective size class (i.e. Full and Tagger) will each win $50 in Sophisti-Bucks! Second place will each receive $25, and $10 will be received by third. That's $170 in prizes up for grabs! Plus, you never know what we might throw in along the way.

Here's how it works: Every Thursday for the next six weeks, beginning July 22, 2010, two of the Sophisti-Scraps Designers will have a free kit for you, themed for that week's destination - one page kit and one tagger kit. The price of your wheels is creating a tag or a layout (or both, if you're game!) with those free kits and posting your entry in our gallery, where the rest of our forum members and staff will vote on their favorites. The lowest number of votes will be eliminated from the contest. If you "survive," you'll continue on to the next destination, where you'll pick up new kits and paint the town all over again!

The last stop on Le Tour is Paris, France, which will be posted for download August 26, 2010. Winners will be announced September 2, 2010!

Registration: You must pre-register for the contest. If you're reading this, you've most likely already joined our forum. Post here and let us know you you'd like to enter, or PM, or use the contact form, or send an email. There are a multitude of ways we'll hear you knocking.

Just make sure we know your user name and which contest you're entering (or both, if you've got the legs for it!) so we can grant you access to the private Le Tour Riders forum, where your kits will be posted and you'll find other goodies waiting for you!

Sign-ups must be received by Wednesday, July 21st. You will not be allowed to switch contests after entering or being eliminated.

The Time Line: Kits will be posted for download in the private forum each Thursday. You will have until Sunday to post your entry (or entries, if you're doing both contests). The voting polls will be open from Monday through sometime on Wednesday, so eliminations can be done before the next kits are released on Thursday, and we continue on to the next destination.

We'll also have related goodies in the store and forum, so anyone not entering the contest will still get a little vacation flavor. But you'll have to be quick, they'll change each week to correspond with our new destination! Anyone not riding doesn't have to stand on the sidelines. Feel free to join in the forum festivities! And you must be a forum member in order to vote!

Oh, and I'm creating the final kit ... PARIS! I'm working on it now ... it should be a cutie! Want to participate? Register at the forum and sign up for the TOUR - this should be a lot of fun and a great way to meet some new people!!

Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I posted on the blog. To be honest, I'm a little frustrated with it - and not entirely sure that anyone is reading anymore. Seems that it's all about Facebook & Twitter now ... so I'm not exactly sure it's worth blogging anymore! lol But hey, maybe I should see if anyone comments?

I had my hand surgery and I'm still recovering from that ... trust me, you just don't want to have carpel tunnel surgery - it's totally been ICK! It's very limiting I've found ... especially when it's your dominant hand.

Monday I go to my 3rd follow-up on the cancer surgery - had the MRI last week. Hopefully I'm still "clean" and start reducing the number of follow-ups!

I have a pretty busy week-end planned - so don't think I'll be doing much creating. Friends are coming over tonight for dinner - I've got a picnic ham in the crock pot right now ... and it's making the house smell sooooo good! Janet is coming over and we're going to make some sort of dessert - we're still not sure what! LOL

Hey Everyone!

It's been another busy week of Doctor visits, trying to create with a messed up hand, and just life in general! Ever feel like you're running in place and never getting to where you needed to be?! LOL

Tomorrow is the "big" day - I see the hand surgeon again! Yes, I'm actually EXCITED to see a surgeon - how crazy is that?! He's promised me a shot that supposedly will help decrease the pain until surgery is scheduled (which I suppose I'll find out tomorrow as well). I almost don't remember what it feels like to have a functioning hand! LOL

I did go and see the Endocrinologist this week ... and I'm on 2 new meds for diabetes - and they are making me sick as a dog! Well, I know for sure the one is - it's called VICTOZA and it's an injectable (into your stomach) and it's not insulin but works like it or something like that. I told him I'd try it, but if makes me sick for more than a couple of weeks ... we'll have to do something else. I seriously don't need to add constant nausea to my list of issues, plus a couple of other nasty side effects I just read about! I swear, I just don't think that doctor's read your entire chart before prescribing stuff!

Well, I guess you'd like to know what's new this week, eh? On with the show! lol

New Releases, RAK Winner, And Freebies

Hey there Everyone! I hope you've been having a great week! I've been anxiously awaiting the Nerve Test that's scheduled for later this morning - I really need to get this hand taken care of ... I just can't do a dang thing with my left hand! LOL You should see me try to eat, it's actually quite funny! However, after a while it does get very frustrating ... especially when I have to have Mike open everything!

The weather here has been beautiful and I've had the windows opens letting fresh air into the house - amazing how stuffy a house can get during the winter months. The cats are also thrilled to be able to sit in the windows and sun bathe! Speaking of my cats ... I have 3 of them - Princess, Cleo, and Squeak. The are truly my "babies" so I'm showing off a picture of them!

The exterminator came yesterday ... it seems if you live in Virginia Beach sooner or later you'll need one! We'd been seeing palmetto bugs (although they look like roaches to me!) coming in and I think it bothered Mike more than me! We' only seen a couple, but that's enough for him! Well, it turned out we had bigger problems! There was evidence of RATS, 2 kinds of roaches, and terminates!! We're on "high ground" so they come to us in wet weather ... well, the vacation is over! In the end it's costing us $1600 for the first round and then $200 a year for the contract to come out every 3 months! Apparently they have to lay down some sort of protective covering on the crawl space floor (which is just dirt i'm told) & some sort of "breathable" vents. Then they drilled and put the stuff into the concrete, as well as spraying around the entire outside of the house. Oh and apparently the trap door wasn't keeping any animals out ... so that needs to be replaced! I'm just glad they have special stuff that isn't harmful to pets & children.

Oohhh - there's been a lot of talk at DST and elsewhere about crediting designers when using personal use kits & posting layouts created with them to galleries, blogs, Facebook, etc. I've never been one to track people down, but I've changed my TOU to reflect that I don't require credit, although as always I do appreciate when it's done. I just want people to enjoy scrapping - it really shouldn't have to be a hassle. I can understand CT members being required, but other than that I'm not concerned at all. The only time you have to worry about crediting me is in publications (both printed and online); although I think they require it anyway.

Okay, time to show off the goodies!

Medical Updates & A RAK!!

Can you guess who's really tired of doctors? Huh, can you?? Had my appointment with the hand surgeon this morning ... he also agrees that I have severe Corporal Tunnel - gee, aren't I lucky? Oh but it gets better! He then tells me that he COULD give me a shot that would help take away the pain - but since I'm having the nerve test on Friday, he can't give it to me! So, I have to wait until next week Thursday to go back for shot and then schedule appointment for surgery! Can we say "Frustrating!?" Between me, Mike, and Janet (MIL) I've had (and continue to have) some sort of medical appointment about twice a week all month! Seriously, something needs to give!!

Mike has had a sinus infection now for 6 days ... and seriously, men are such big babies! I want him to get over this so things can get back to normal. LOL And I so need to get laundry done ... it's really terrible! But it's almost near impossible to do with this hand! Heck, everything is hard to do! Although the meds the neurologist gave me are helping with keeping me out the "OMG" kind of pain! LOL

Hi All!

It's been a very LONG week for me. Again I seemed plagued with medical issues - this time it seems

it's Corporal Tunnel! I go on the 19th to be tested; but the neurologist seems pretty confident that it's

a "severe" case. Why do I always have to have severe cases?? I also have an appt with a hand surgeon on

the 16th - so hopefully I'll be able to schedule surgery pretty quickly. It's extremely difficult to get anything

done since it's affecting my dominant hand. Now I'm just hoping my insurance doesn't cancel me for

all these surgeries!

Mike has been a super star through all this ... he's the bestest hubby! I'm really going to have

think of something special I can do for him when I'm all better. Heck, I'm sure he would appreciate

some nice meals and being able to do the vacuuming once in a while! lol

I'm really enjoying have my own store again - I kinda forgot how nice it was to do anything I want to do!

New Store Updates, Freebie Reminders, New Health Concerns

Hello My Faithful Blog Readers!

Had my appointment with doctor who's taking care of my kidney/tumor ... after the last MRI looks like they got it all ... I'm CANCER FREE! Of course, I still need to continue follow ups (next one in 3 months) for so far it's looking great! WOOOOHOOOO!!

Of course, I just couldn't NOT have another medical issue pop up right? I'm being sent to a hand surgeon (appt in 3 weeks) ... seems that I may have "Reflex Sympathe tic Dystrophy" or RSD for short. I'm not happy about this at all as this is not something that can be fixed, only controlled. I've been in substantial pain for a while now (since the surgery - which may have caused this) and the primary doctor finally gave me some meds that are taking the edge off, but they are making me sooo loopy it's nuts. Worst part is that it's affecting my right hand - the designing hand!! I'm not even sure why I'm being sent to a surgeon when everything I've read says you need a neurologist ... but primary says that they know the "pathology" of the hand. *sigh* ... I'm sure I'll be adding more specialists to my list of doctors!

As you can see, there's been some changes to my blog! This is due to my opening up my own shop - DigiScrap Professional Designs. I wanted the colors & style to match the stores.
