News & A Blog Gift!

Hi All!

Hope each of you is having a great day and had a terrific weekend! As planned, we went to the Melting Pot Saturday night - all I can say is YUMMY! Of course, the best part was spending time with our friends ... we always have a great time. They surprised us with balloons & chocolates - and had the staff take our picture which they then framed. So, we've got a permanent memory of a great night! How lucky am I to celebrate my anniversary twice? *smiles*

I've been busy still setting up my new pc - but I finally got Outlook configured and all my emails are working! I swear, it's unreal how you feel disconnected when stuff isn't working right! I've got so much work to do and I really haven't felt very inspired lately. This week I'm busy with one doctor's appointment after another ... but, I do have one fun thing planned - I'm meeting another designer friend! Turns out she lives only 20 minutes away from me so we've made plans to do lunch on Thursday ... I can't wait!

As you can see, I've redesigned my blog! Yeah, I can hear the collective "finally!" ... LOL I decided that I wanted a more stream-lined and crisp appearance. You'll notice that on the right side bar there are links for my stores, links I deem "important" such as to my TOU and special blog only coupons, and links to my products (which I'll be working on from now until doomsday!!). No more blinkies & stuff flashing - if you'd like to snag a blinkie ... just click on the link and you can get them! Oh and Sheila? You're too funny woman ... I was still working on the blog when you wrote and said you loved it! You're a doll!

A few people wrote and asked me if I had the recipe for the asparagus that Susan made last weekend for our little dinner party, so I got it for you all!

*** RECIPE ***

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 pound prosciutto, sliced
* 1/2 (8 ounce) package Neufchatel cheese, softened
* 12 spears fresh asparagus, trimmed

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2. Spread prosciutto slices with Neufchatel cheese. Wrap slices around 2 or 3 asparagus spears. Arrange wrapped spears in a single layer on a medium baking sheet.
3. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until asparagus is tender.

*** Joke ***

A good friend of mine (Tricia) sent this joke ... now I usually don't forward jokes ... but this one was unusual as it's a "Blonde GUY" joke. Warning, it's NOT politically correct (but the punch line is too cute)!

An Irishman , a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a building. They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, 'Corned beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I'm going to jump off this building.' The Mexican opened his lunch box and Exclaimed,' Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time I'm going to jump off, too.' The blonde opened his lunch and said, ' Bologna again! If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I'm jumping too.'

The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death. The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too. The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death as well.

At the funeral, the Irishman's wife was weeping. She said, 'If I'd known how really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given it to him again!' The Mexican's wife also wept and said, 'I could have given him tacos or enchiladas! I didn't realize he hated burritos so much.' Everyone turned and stared at the blonde's wife. The blonde's wife said, 'Don't look at me. He makes his own lunch!'

I have 2 comments, which I hope you will take as constructive comments :-).
You know I love the new look for the blog. But I notice 2 things:
1. Your header seems to overwrite itself re: graphic & text (or 2 graphics?). I can send you a screen shot if you like.
2. There is no date on the posts. A time, but no day or date.
