Saturday Happenings!

Happy Weekend Everyone! I hope it's off to a great start for all of you! And for those who work weekends ... I hope your days off are wonderful as well. *smiles*

So, I have to brag about my wonderful husband for a minute. He was out at costco the other day to pick up meds and came home with this big box ... and brought it into my office. Apparently, while waiting for the meds he was wandering about and came across a "scrapbook filing system" and thought to himself that this was something I should have! Isn't he a sweetie? He had to put it together (which he wasn't all too thrilled with) - and that was a project! So now I have this nifty rolling cart for scrapbook supplies - and it matches my office furniture! Hmmm ... of course, I don't paper scrap ... but I'll be able to use it for the bits and pieces that I'll be using to scan, etc.

Ooohhhh ... I took a "day off" and went shopping! Fashion Bug was having a 40% off their already reduced stuff - and I had a coupon good for $40 off ... plus, you got an extra 5% if you used their credit card! I made out like a bandit! *smiles* Hancock Fabrics was also having a 50% off sale on their notions and I picked up quite a few things for the sewing room! I've got a couple of "crafty ideas" brewing which involve a sewing machine! lol We'll see how this works out!

My pulled chest muscle is just about all healed up ... so of course, my back had to start acting up! It's always something, right? It's not awful, unless I'm hunched over trying to extract something!! So, I'm having to hold off on some of that for the moment. I think I could really use a professional massage - anyone with me on that one? *giggle*

I loved hearing all the comments and feedback about the Olympics ... and I'm totally thrilled that our girls won Gold and Silver in gymnastics! And what about Michael Phelps? Isn't that some success story?!

I've got new stuff in the store ... :) First off, there's my new CU Grab Bag #18:

Thanks so much for the great freebie. You are very generous. I always look forward to seeing what you have next. You come up with so many great ideas. By the way, I didn't know that you like to sew. I love it but don't do it much because of a bad back. Can't take that hunching over for very long. I used to own a fabric store and I was in hog heaven. LOL

Hi Babette, thanks for the CU freebie it's great. I always enjoy your blog! You are so my girl, Fashion Bug, Costco and the Olympics! I am an absolute Phelps Phanatic!! :) As far as the massages go I try to stay away from them. I had a pinched nerve last year and I went for a massage and the massage girl did a "deep tissue" massage and put me in worse shape than when I walked in the door. I couldn't get out of bed for a week. I just don't have good luck with massages. I have found great pain relief with a TENS unit. I hope you can find some relief and enjoy the rest of your week. *hugs* Vanna
