Updates & Freebies
12/16/2009 06:45:00 PM Edit This 15 Comments »Time has gotten away from me again. Seems I just don't have enough hours in the day and days in the week! Between all the doctor appointments (for me, Mike, and Janet) and just trying to get things done around here ... I seem to have lost a few days. LOL In fact, had an appointment today for Janet and tomorrow I've got one. Yeah, I'm tired of doctors & waiting rooms!
We met with the surgeon and radiologist, and it looks like I'm going to go with freezing the tumor and then MRI's after 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, and a year. If the MRI comes out clean, then I'll go to yearly MRI's. If however it doesn't ... then I'll go back in and the will remove either part of the kidney or the entire thing. For now I'm hopeful that the freezing will do the job. Apparently, the tumor is in a bad spot and will be difficult to get at (the extra weight isn't any help either!). The procedure will involve 3 or 4 needles injected thru my back to freeze the tumor while hooked up to some machine so they can see what they're doing. The worst part is that I don't get put totally to sleep - they need to talk to you apparently. Now I'm just worried about possibly hitting a nerve and them giving me permanent nerve damage - or bleeding out. Those are the two "big" complications I was told. On the bright side, it's only a one night stay at the hospital. lol
Thanks to everyone who has commented or dropped me a note - all the well wishes mean so much to me. It's been very encouraging to read all the good thoughts and prayers being sent my way.
Even thought I'm still busy uploading the new store; I have also been creating new products (oh, about 40 of them!) and also created a couple of freebies for you guys .... :)
